We chose Cadence because it is straightforward and user-friendly. If you can use basic email or browse a website, you can use Cadence. It walks you through each task with clear, human instructions, and you are never left to figure it out alone. 

Yes. Cadence uses bank-level encryption to ensure that all your data and the information of the deceased remain private and secure. Access is restricted only to the individuals you authorize. 

You receive access to Cadence as soon as we have registered the death and issued the death certificate.  Before this happens, the funeral director has to obtain the medical certificate of death from the attending physician.  The physician typically signs the medical certificate within the 48 hour window.  If your loved one is in the care of the coroner, this process is delayed until the coroner has released your loved one into our care.   

Cadence includes access to support specialists who can help if you have questions about a specific task or how to navigate the roadmap. Additionally, you can always reach out to your licensed funeral director who is here to support you through every step of the process and will help ensure you find the answers you need.  

No. We know that settling an estate in British Columbia can take 12 to 18 months. The tool remains available to you for as long as you need to resolve accounts and legal filings.
